Hello!
I’m Eva Sophia Dawson, a nature inspired illustrator based in the UK, exploring stories of connection and coexistence on our planet.
I am passionate about using visual storytelling to encourage connection and care for our communities in the natural world around us - both human and non-human! I believe that restoring natural habitats as well as bringing nature into our human spaces can make our communities happier, healthier and stronger. I am also currently studying a Masters Degree in Nature Recovery, Restoration and Rewilding at the University of Manchester.
My debut published illustration work for author Devon Fredericksen’s book Only the Birds Know (to be published in Spring 2028 by Pegasus Books) explores the annual migration of eider ducks to the Vega Archipelago and their mutualistic relationship with the bird keepers who live there.
I am interested in creating illustrations for adult and children’s books and editorial pieces that explore the connection between people and nature. I would also love to utilise my knowledge in nature recovery and restoration to create illustrations for brands, companies and NGOs that work within the environmental sector.
If you have an idea or project for me and share my passion for our human communities and the natural world, I would absolutely love to hear from you!
